CDC Federal Credit Union remembers former board member, James (Jim) Enders

On December 12, CDC Federal Credit Union members and associates were sad to hear as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the passing of former CDC employee James Enders.

According to the CDC announcement, after a couple of years serving in the Peace Corps, Enders spent the remainder of his professional career devoted to the health and life sciences industry starting at CDC in the National Program of Cancer Registries from 1997 to 2003 and later joining the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control until his retirement in 2017.

Enders was also a long-time member of CDC Federal Credit Union where he served on the CDC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors from May 2016 to May 2017.

Upon hearing the sad news of his passing, Betsy Mercier, president and chief executive officer of the credit union, reflected on Enders and his time on the board.

“Through his service as a director on the credit union’s board, Jim represented the membership with integrity, respect, and a genuine compassion for their financial well-being,” she said. “On behalf of the CDC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors and all of our Associates, I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family. “
